I was a bit inactive on my blog the last month but NOW its time to catch up...As it is extremely cold for end of March in Holland now I will warm you up with some images from Thailand again. Today I will take you again underwater (this entry is specially dedicated to Koryn who asked for more underwater photography:-)
It is simply breathtaking to see how cuttle fishes and octopuses change their colours underwater when they move or want to adjust themselves to the environment. At the Bonsoon wrack I met this cute baby cuttle fish. Whilediving at island 9 of the Similan islands at around 25m depth we have spotted the octopus. First it was hiding in a rock and its was white-grey, when it leaved its hole it change quick to brown-dark colours! Enjoy the video too:-)))

Dear Jana - What a delight to be able to see such lovely underwater life. I love the fish that adapt to their surroundings in the colour of their surroundings. This was such a treat. Thankyou - I truly like your posts. Lilly :)
How I enjoyed swimming with the octopus, Jana! So graceful! The cuttlefish look jewel-like. It's been cold and snowy here in CO, too. Are you still skating?
I terribly enjoyed watching the video...just the sound of water made me feel relaxed...and the sight of the little fishes swimming around and the Octopus makes me wish I could go diving too :) thanks for taking me there virtually!
I'm touched! And yes, I HAVE been waiting for an update :)
I loooove the black octopus photo. (Am I right, that's the octopus?) And the video is just magnificent! the Reminds me, though, of Ursula from the Little Mermaid haha.
Attempted a little underwater photography myself over the weekend, my dive master let me borrow his Lumix cam with underwater casing and light. I still need a little practice with the white balancing though :)
When (and where!) is your next underwater adventure? ;)
Welcome back! I've never seen a black octopus. Even though it has short legs it moves incredibly well.
